Careers in veterinary technology
Veterinary technicians and technologists are employed by small animal clinics, equine and production animal services, animal research labs, zoos and wildlife rescue operations—any animal-care setting. Vet techs perform lab tests, assist with dentistry (Who do you think cleans the dog’s teeth?), assist with veterinary surgery, and administer medication and vaccinations. They also handle communications with animal owners, and often serve as office managers.
