AAS program features

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Massage Therapy program includes all training provided in the Massage Therapy Diploma program. The associate degree program also includes training in craniosacral/lymph drainage therapy and exercise physiology, SOAP training for documenting client progress, and courses in business communication and general education. Students prepare to work with diverse populations and learn management skills for the spa industry.

Massage licensure and accreditation

Graduates of the associate in massage therapy program at Globe University in Wausau are prepared for the following:

  • National Certification Exam of Therapeutic Massage (NCETM) provided by National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB)
  • Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) provided by Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB)
  • Membership in American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA)
  • Membership in Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP)
  • Membership in International Massage Association (IMA)
